Summerfest successful for families; local vendors

Summerfest 2018 had a little bit of everything for Prince George residents.

“Just getting out, walking around, and enjoying the weather and people and everything Prince George has to offer.”

“Great event for people in Prince George to get out on a nice day.”

“The food, pizza slices, were my favourite.”

Games, clothing and jewelry shops, local thrift stores, and even a petting zoo were available for families to enjoy.

The annual event was also a big hit for local, and travelling, vendors. Tammie Phillips of Thrifty Friends Boutique in PG says she had to ask a coworker to get her lunch because it was so busy.

“It’s been great. Great weather, great people, lots of fun, good sales, I have not been able to leave because it’s been so busy.”

Owner of Luxarose out of Quesnel, Katy Tataryn, set up a booth for the first time selling handmade clothes.

“I found that a lot of the people are super awesome, super interested in what I’m doing, they love finding out that it’s handmade.”
