PG resident Derek Andrew is giving back to his old school, installing a new outdoor book exchange at Ron Brent Elementary.
On July 9th, the mini library was burnt to the ground, prompting Andrew to step up when saw the story circulating on social media.
“I noticed when the post originally went up, it was a lot of talk of just a bad neighborhood. I thought to myself, I came from there and this is something I can step up and take care of to destroy that stigma. ”

Andrew decided to install the new library on a tree, in hopes it will discourage people from vandalizing it.
