Current weather conditions and the number of fires in the region has the City of Prince George issuing a fire ban.
This is in addition to the regional burn ban for the PG Fire Centre and is for all open fire burning including recreational fires.
Wood-burning fire pits are not permitted, however, natural gas and propane pits are allowed.
The ban begins at 12pm Thursday and will stay in effect until further notice.
