Moderate snowfall expected over the next few days

A dumping of snow is headed our way.

Jennifer Hays with Environment Canada says two systems, including a low pressure, high precipitation system will be hanging around the Prince George area for the next couple of days:

“Still looking at quite a bit of snow moving in, as the system starts to move in from the South we are expecting it to come to Prince George so you’re not going to escape it. In the forecast we are looking at periods of snow beginning this afternoon and we are expecting about 10-15 (cm) tonight”

Hays says the system will cover Quesnel and Williams lake with about 15-20 cm as well, while the temperature is expected to sit at around -9 on Thursday, with the potential of a drop well below -20 over the weekend.
