Seven Prince George high school volleyball teams are competing at the Provincials. The College Heights and Duchess Park Triple A Girls finished 3-0 in their power pool and will compete in the round of 16 playoffs in Parksville. The College Heights and D.P. Todd Double A boys lost in the quarter-finals and will play for 5th to 8th in Langley. The D.P. Todd Double A Girls went 2-1 in pool play in Mill Bay to advance to the round of 16. The 10th ranked Cedars Christian Single A Girls finished 3-0 in round robin action in Kelowna and the PGSS Triple A Boys will play for 19th and 20th in Langley. Final games go Saturday.

–The (15-10-0-2) Prince George Spruce Kings host the (9-13-1-4) Coquitlam Express tonight and Saturday.

–The (13-14) Prince George Cougars are idle until they host the Prince Albert Raiders Wednesday.

–The (15-2-1) Major Midget leading Cariboo Cougars entertain the (13-4-1) Okanagan Rockets Saturday at 7:15pm and Sunday at 11:30am at Kin 1.

–The Prince George Coast Inn Midget Tier 1 Cougars host a six team tournament today to Sunday at the Kin Centre and Coliseum.

-–In Canada West basketball, the UNBC Timberwolves will be at the Northern Sport Centre to play the UBC Okanagan Heat tonight at 6 and 8 and Saturday at 5 and 7pm.

–Prince George Inner City boxers Kenny Lally and Jag Seehra fight Saturday at the Golden Gloves in Cloverdale.
