Local spa awarded liquor license by city council

A glass of wine can now be enjoyed the next time you head on a spa date in Prince George.

The City of Prince George granted a liquor license to Special Beauty Parlor & Day Spa during Monday’s council meeting.

The addition adds to an already enjoyable experience in the downtown core.

“Well, I wanted to be unique and different and that’s what the special is and that’s why we have all of the different services, it’s just offering something more and compliments the services,” said Jacqueline Marion, Owner/Operator.

“Being able to offer a glass of wine in this spa that I built and we have the area here to host parties like bridal showers.”

The liquor license is just the second of its kind to be dolled by council after another like-minded facility in the Hart applied successfully.

“Trend Setters up in the Hart has one and we are the second one in Prince George and I think it’s a good thing bringing more people to downtown.”

The spa offers services like hair and service waxing and is over 3,000 square feet, which is one of the largest in Northern BC.

You can check out Special Beauty Parlor and Day Spa at 1180 3rd Avenue.
