Prince George resident wants signal changes at problem intersections

A new online petition is aiming to change the signal layout at locations along Highway 16 inside the city.

Rae-Lynn Olson hopes to install dedicated left turn signals at the Highway 16 crossovers with Ferry and Vance road, and brought her campaign to light after seeing yet another accident at Ferry Ave on her Facebook feed.

She says she regularly drives the route and is tired of seeing similar incidents occur:

“I drive through that intersection everyday to and from work, I take Queensway down to River road, and Ive seen probably about 15 T-bone accidents there since I’ve been working in town”

So far Olson’s petition has received over 170 signature from those fed up with the dangers of the intersections, and says if left turn signals are not the answer she hopes another solution can be found.

A link to the petition can be found on the Hell Ya Prince George Facebook page.
