Fentanyl found, five arrested in drug trafficking investigation

The arrest of two led to the arrest of five of an on-going drug trafficking investigation in Prince George.

According to a news release, the RCMP’s Street Crew Unit arrested an adult male and an adult female near the intersection of 4th Avenue and Dominion Street yesterday afternoon.

Following those arrests, officers executed Controlled Drugs & Substances Act search warrants at residences located on the 5900 block of Montgomery Crescent and 4600 block of Freimuller Avenue, where officers seized what they believe to be fentanyl, cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia from the residences. Three more people were apprehended. 

All those arrested were released without charge pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
