It’s just a sliver of the experience, but it makes an impact.
The Coldest Night of the Year is a walk-a-thon to raise awareness and money for charities that serve hungry, homeless and hurting people in 136 communities across Canada.
For the walk-in Prince George, all of the funds are going towards Association Advocating for Women and Community (AWAC), a non-profit organization which provides safe and supportive shelter for street-involved women and female youth.
Opening Ceremonies Saturday night begin at 5:00 from the St. Giles Presbyterian Church at 1500 Edmonton Street.
