Recycling Day success

London Drugs Recycling Day collected approximately 800 pounds of waste.

The day is an annual event to raise awareness about Earth Day.

London Drugs store manager Christian Schenk said this year they planned it a week early because Earth Day falls on Easter Monday.

“For us its point of education, so it’s educating the customers what we do for sustainability.”

The collection included things like styrofoam, electronics, and cardboard.

“Any time we take something out of the landfill or stream is good.”
