Hockey Canada:
–Hockey Canada has temporarily halted the national junior team selection camp in Red Deer after the confirmation of two positive COVID-19 tests among players. The players, coaches and staff at the camp have entered a 14-day quarantine retroactive to Monday. All camp activities will be paused until Dec. 6. Taylor Gauthier of the Prince George Cougars is one of five goalies and 46 players at the camp.

–Argentine soccer great Diego Maradona, who led his country to the 1986 World Cup title, has passed away at age 60. A Maradona spokesperson said he died Wednesday of a heart attack, two weeks after being released from a hospital following brain surgery.
In 1986, Diego Maradona was the author of both one of the most contentious moments in World Cup history and one of the greatest goals ever scored in the tournament.
The performance encapsulated his mercurial genius.
