Lights, camera, action! Shooting for latest Prince George film begins

‘The Way to the Heart’ is the latest film to be shot in Prince George and officially begun shooting today.

Producer Norm Coyne of Barker Street Cinema describes the movie as a light-hearted romantic comedy set in a northern town in the summer.

Shooting will go well into mid-June featuring various locations throughout the city.

This is the second film to be shot in Northern BC, following “A Great North Christmas”, which hits the screen in November.

Coyne says there are many projects scheduled in the region over the next few years.

‘The Way to the Heart’ features Food Network star, Bob Blumer and multiple Hallmark movie actors and actresses such as Meghan Heffern, Jon Cor, and Peter Graham Gaudreau.

“I’m so excited to be back in PG and working on The Way to the Heart,” said Bob Blumer. “Being an actor is a new adventure for me… but I’m most excited about my role as the culinary consultant on the film.”

They’re joined by local talent as well, such as Sandra Clermont, Riley Banzer, and Sydney Hendricks.

“I look forward to showcasing many of the amazing locally farmed and foraged ingredients that I’ve discovered on my many visits here,” added Blumer.
