Washington Capitals return Terik Parascak to PG Cougars

Less than a day after Riley Heidt was returned by the Minnesota Wild, Terik Parascak is also on his way back to the PG Cougars.

The 18-year-old from Lethbridge, Alberta was re-assigned by the Washington Capitals today (Tuesday).

In his rookie season, Parascak posted 105 points, including 43 goals.

He was selected 17th overall by Washington in June’s NHL Draft in Las Vegas.

PG continues it five-game road trip tomorrow (Wednesday) in Kelowna against the Rockets.

In addition, former Cougars defenceman Keaton Dowhaniuk has joined the BCHL’s Vernon Vipers. The Vipers are off to a 0-3-1 start.

Dowhaniuk suited up in 228 games for the Cats over four plus seasons (both regular season and playoffs).

PG also re-assigned 17-year-old goaltender Brady Holtvogt to the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior hockey league while 16-year-old forward Townes Kozicky is headed to the Calgary Hockey Academy.
