Prince George defeated the Merritt Centennials 4-3 in their first of two games at the Bauer BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack, extending their win streak to four and their unbeaten streak to five.
The early Friday morning puck-drop resulted in a comeback victory, courtesy of forward Jarod Hovde at 103 seconds into the final frame.
Rookie goaltender Brad Cooper got his second-straight win of the year in his second-straight start, making 33 saves on 36 shots between the pipes.
Ethan de Jong, Dustin Manz, and Ben Poisson were the other goal-scorers in the contest as the Spruce Kings improve to 4-0-1-0.
