Wood Wheaton Supercentre donates $5,000 to Children of PG fund

A local automotive dealership is contributing to the Prince George Community Foundation’s (PGCF) cause in helping the most vulnerable children in the City.

By way of Miracle Theatre, Wood Wheaton Supercentre has given the PGCF a $5,000 donation for its Children of Prince George fund.

“It has been said that without a sense of caring there can be no sense of community,” said Wood Wheaton General Sales Manager Don Willimont in a statement.

“In this spirit of community, Wood Wheaton is proud to assist Miracle Theatre in its support of the Prince George Community Foundation.”

Miracle Theatre is hoping to raise more than $55,000 this year through its 2019 production, which would bring a four-year fundraising total to $200,000 for local charities.

In an earlier interview with My PG Now, PGCF President Al Lefebvre said it’s important to provide opportunities for the next generation to succeed in life.

“Within our Community Foundation, we are examining need all the time and there is always a need for these underprivileged children. So we’re very excited about setting up an endowment for that purpose.”

‘Halfway There’ will run from February 28th to March 20th next year.
