WHL: (PG Cougars)
The Prince George Cougars visit the (8-4-1-1) Kelowna Rockets tonight and the (6-6-1) Spokane Chiefs Saturday.
The Cougars are 1-2 against the Rockets and 2-1 vs. the Chiefs this season.
Kelowna is tied with Kamloops for the BC Division lead.
The (4-9-0-1) Cougars are last in the Western Conference, four points behind (6-6-1) Victoria, (5-5-2-1) Seattle and Spokane.
Prince George is without back-up goalie Tyler Brennan who competes at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Medicine Hat and Swift Current Nov 2nd to 9th.

The Cougars have room to add an overage player after they cut 20-year-old defenceman Austin Crossley of Fort St. John.

The Prince George Spruce Kings host the (8-11) Langley Rivermen tonight and Saturday.
The (6-9-2-1) Spruce Kings are 4th in the Mainland Division, a point behind Langley and two ahead of the (6-12-0-1) Surrey Eagles.

BC Major Midget League: (Cariboo Cougars)
The (8-1-0-1) Cariboo Cougars host the (11-0-0-1) league-leading Okanagan Rockets Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Kin 1.
The Major Midget Cougars are in 4th place in the 11-team BCMML, but just a point behind the (9-3) Vancouver NE Chiefs and the (9-3) Vancouver NW Hawks with the Cats holding two games in hand.

Matthew Tkachuk scored the tying goal with 40 seconds left in regulation and the winning goal with 1.4 seconds left in overtime on a between-the-legs shot.

Max Domi scored 26 seconds into overtime as the Habs erased a 4-2 deficit with seven minutes left in the third.

Winnipeg Jets suspended defenceman Dustin Byfuglien underwent ankle surgery last week.
Recovery for the former PG Cougar is expected to take until the New Year.
Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff calls the situation a “complicated issue.”
Byfuglien’s contract has two years remaining, with an average annual value of $7.6 million.

The UNBC Timberwolves begin their Canada West basketball regular season by hosting the Victoria Vikes this weekend at the Northern Sport Centre.

CFL: (Week 21)
The CFL regular season ends this weekend.
The (12-5) Saskatchewan Riders can clinch first place in the West Division with a win at home against the (8-9) Edmonton Eskimos Saturday (1:00 PT).
Saskatchewan is two points ahead of (11-6) Calgary and (11-7) Winnipeg.
The Stampeders close out the regular season when they visit the (5-12) BC Lions Saturday night at 7:00.
Week 21 begins tonight (4:00 PT) with (9-8) Montreal at (3-14) Ottawa.
The other eastern game has (4-13) Toronto at (14-3) Hamilton Saturday (4:00 PT).
