Prince George Spruce Kings blueliner Mason Waite has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the 2021-22 season.
The ’00 born d-man will be heading to St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
Waite was acquired by the Spruce Kings in an early-September trade, and according to the team, is leaving big shoes to fill.
The Winnipeg, MB product lead all Spruce Kings defensemen in goals, finishing the 2019-20 campaign with 7 goals and 22 assists in 51 games played.
Waite, entering his final year of junior hockey this upcoming season, was also named a Spruce Kings Co defenceman of the year for 2019-20.
