Hockey:
–Jason Labarbera of Prince George has been hired as the Calgary Flames Goaltending Coach. In his role, Labarbera will oversee the day-to-day duties with the Flames netminders. He completed a 16-year professional playing career in 2016 that included several stops in the NHL. For the past four seasons, Labarbera has served as Assistant Coach/Goalie Coach with the Calgary Hitmen. He will join the Flames after completing his duties with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship in Edmonton.

–The WHL season has been delayed. The Board of Governors will meet next month to consider potential start dates and schedules.
Due to public health restrictions, the WHL is not in a position to start the 2020-21 Regular Season as planned on January 8.
