Frequency of flights to Prince George set to increase

Central Mountain Air (CMA) will see their regional route network out of Edmonton get a major increase.

Tomorrow, non-stop service will begin or resume to:

  • Grande Prairie
  • High Level
  • Fort St.John

Flights to Prince George will also increase, with connections to Terrace and Fort Nelson.

“With travel demand beginning to recover and mainline carriers looking at the regional part of their models differently than pre-COVID, our strategy has been to think creatively about how to use our fleet to add capacity back in, generate revenue, and get more people back to work,” said Bob Cummings, CMA CEO.

Cummings says introductory offers to kickstart these routes will be available as well.

According to a CMA release, introductory July fare prices from PG to Edmonton start at $212 all in.

With this expansion, CMA will be operating over 120 flights per week, which is about 50% of their pre-COVID total.
