Rockets put the Cougars away by the six minute mark of the game

Six seconds into the game it was 1-0 Kelowna.

Six minutes into the game it was 3-0 Kelowna.

The Rockets went on for a 4-1 victory Saturday night over the Prince George Cougars before 3,400 fans at Prospera Place.

It was the start of six straight road games for the (7-11) Cougars.

Gabriel Szturc set a Rockets franchise record for the fastest goal at the start of a game when he tallied unassisted at the six-second mark.

Nolan Flamand made it 2-0 at the 5:38 mark, and Colton Dach added another goal 19 seconds later, as the Rockets scored three times in the first six minutes on P.G. goalie Tyler Brennan.

The only goal for the Cougars came on a power-play from Connor Bowie late in the opening period.

The Rockets answered that with a power-play goal of their own from Tyson Feist early in the third.

Prince George was 1/6 with the man advantage while Kelowna was 1/1.

First star Talyn Boyko made 34 saves as the Cougars outshot the Rockets 35-29.

The (10-5) Rockets are 4-0 this season against the Cougars.

P.G. will end November with a game Tuesday in Seattle and will start December with a game Wednesday in Portland.

The Cougars will also visit Spokane on Friday, and Tri-City on Saturday.

They will return to Kelowna for another test against the Rockets on Friday, December 10th before the Cats host B.C. Division-leading Kamloops on Saturday, December 11th.

The Cougars are 4th in the B.C. Division, seven points behind Vancouver and eight back of second-place Kelowna.
