Due to the Omicron variant, the Exploration Place will wait until the new year to reopen its pop-up shop at Pine Centre Mall.
According to a news release the shop will temporarily close at 8 pm on Thursday and will remain that way until at least January 4th, 2022.
“We are not providing a defined, essential service at the Mall Pop Up location,” said Tracy Calogheros, CEO,
“So the level of risk doesn’t make sense. By closing down our in-person programming and retail in the face of this Omicron threat, we are helping to protect our amazing health care workers, our community, and our team.”
“We are working towards a spring re-opening of the main Museum site and hope to be opening our incoming national exhibit, “Trailblazing Women” at the Pop-Up location in Pine Centre Mall in mid-January,” added Calogheros.
Calogheros reminds residents to follow the Museum’s social media and/or our website for updates on the Pop-Up and main museum in the coming year.
