The Host Portage Terriers are Royal Bank Cup champions, the first team from the MJHL to capture the national Junior A hockey championship in 41 years (1974). Portage dumped the Carleton Place Canadians 5-2 in the final. The Penticton Vees lost in the semi-finals to Carleton Place 2-1 in double overtime.

–The WHL champion Kelowna Rockets open the Memorial Cup Friday in Quebec City when they play the host Quebec Remparts. Kelowna also plays Rimouski on May 25th and Oshawa on May 26th in round robin action.

–Sniper David Soltes, who played two seasons with the Prince George Cougars, has signed a one year contract
with HC Kosice of Slovakia.

–Hart Judo Academy athletes Lavanna Laas and Grace Northrop each picked up a pair of bronze medals at the Canadian Open Judo Championships in Quebec. Lisa Russell of the PG Judo Club earned a silver.

–The Prince George Kodiaks 15U Girls finished first in Division 3, Tier 4 at the 2015 Volleyball Canada Club Championships in Calgary.
