Parker Bell snapped a 2-2 tie with a power-play goal at 5:31 of the third period.

Bell added two assists, one of them on an empty netter.

Tri-City went 1/6 and P.G. 0/5 with the man advantage.

The Americans lead the best-of-seven first-round series 2-1.

Cougars starting goalie Tyler Brennan left the game late in the second period with an injury.

He was replaced by Ty Young, who blocked eight of nine shots.

The Americans have not trailed during regulation time in the three games.

Under the 2-3-2 format, the two teams also meet tonight (Wednesday) and Friday in Kennewick, Washington.

The Silverbacks exploded for three goals in just 61 seconds midway through the second period to take a commanding 5-1 lead before 862 fans in PG.

Salmon Arm leads the best-of-seven series 3-0 with game four tonight at 7:00 at the Kopar Memorial Arena in Prince George.

The top two teams from the round-robin advance to the semifinals on Saturday (4 PM PT).

The third-place team plays the sixth-place team while four meets five on Saturday (11 AM PT) to see who advances to the semis.

The semifinal winners will play for gold on Sunday at 1 PM (PT) with the semifinal losers battling for bronze on Sunday (8 AM).

The (40-39) Raptors, with just three games left, play tonight and Friday in Boston (4:30 PT on both days) against the (54-25) Celtics before closing at home on Sunday against Milwaukee (10 AM PT).
