The Cowichan Capitals have acquired veteran defenceman Mitch Meek from the Prince George Spruce Kings in exchange for 20 year-old blue liner Rylan Bechtel.
Bechtel has played the last three seasons with the Capitals amassing seven goals and 62 assists in 167 games.
Meek was acquired by the Spruce Kings in an earlier trade this summer and is committed to play for Clarkson University in the NCAA.
