A UNBC women’s soccer alumni’s story on the tragic loss of her brother has netted a Canada West Feature of the Year.
Brooke Molby recounted the tragic death of her brother Tyrell who passed away from a lethal fentanyl overdose in 2019, two months shy of his 24th birthday.
Released on Opioid Awareness Day, Molby’s story was the most-read piece released by the Athletic department in the past three years.
The honour is the fifth CW SID Award in five years for UNBC Athletics; the most awards of any school in conference history.
