Missing woman found deceased near Dawson Creek

The BC Coroners Service has identified the human remains found along the Kiskatinaw River, west of Highway 97 earlier this month (May 18th) are those of a woman who was reported missing in December.

Renee Didier was last seen on December 2nd and was reported missing five days later by the Dawson Creek RCMP.

The BC RCMP’s North District Major Crimes Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation and is asking the public for information related to the case.

This is the second file of human remains found in the past month.

On April 18th, Mounties were dispatched to 219 Road near Saskatoon Creek.

In addition, the Dawson Creek area has seen a string of missing person cases that have yet to be solved.

Among them is Darylyn Supernant who has not been seen since March of 2023. She is Didier’s cousin.

Also missing are Dave Daniel Domingo, a 24-year-old man who was reported to be last seen near the city dating back to August 29th when police responded to what was classified as a possible shooting.

Cole Hosack, a 24-year-old man from Prince George was last seen at the Lonestar Bar on New Year’s Eve. The investigation into both matters remain ongoing.
