Fireworks in store for P.G. Halloween festivities

Halloween is just days away, with a community association going the extra mile to mark the occasion.

The College Heights Community Association will be having it’s Halloween Fireworks, which will be taking place at the College Heights Recreation Park on Saturday night, at 8:15.

The City of Prince George also put out a firework reminder on Facebook, saying they are allowed without a permit on Halloween, but aren’t allowed to be set off at a street, park, playground, school ground, or other City-owned property or public space without written consent of the property owner.

It adds residents shouldn’t call 9-1-1 for noise complaints, as it’s not an emergency, though there is the option to call the RCMP non emergency number (250-561-3300) who may respond if they are not responding to actual emergencies.

As for the weather, Environment Canada is calling for a sunny Saturday, though with clear skies, temperatures are expected to drop fairly quickly to as low as minus seven overnight.
