Milling resumes at Blackwater Mine after unplanned shutdown

Artemis Gold resumed full milling operations at the Blackwater Mine, roughly 160 kilometres southwest of Prince George.

This comes a week after the site experienced an unplanned production outage due to the failure of a ball mill gearbox that occurred on Wednesday, which has now been replaced.

Originally, Artemis Gold estimated milling operations would be interrupted for eight to 10 days.

The company said Q1 production is expected to be lower than originally anticipated, but won’t revise its full year production guidance as it plans to make up for the shortfall.
