Seattle Thunderbirds ship out PG’s Cameron Schmidt to Victoria Royals

For the second time in four months, sniper Cameron Schmidt is on the move.

The Seattle Thunderbirds dealt the 51-goal scorer and PG product to the Victoria Royals in exchange for the 7th overall pick in tonight’s (Wednesday) WHL Prospects Draft and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2028.

In turn, Seattle turned the pick into Calgary-born centre Wyatt Jolleys.

Jolleys suited up for the Calgary Bisons where he tallied 28 goals and 58 assists in 33 games this past season.

Schmidt, finished third in league scoring with 51 goals and 49 assists.

The 2007 born Dallas Stars Prospect was acquired by the Thunderbirds at the WHL Trade Deadline from the Vancouver Giants in January.
