Integris invests $20,000 towards PG Public Library’s Homework Help program

A critical school program hosted by the Prince George Public Library received financial leg up from another community partner.

Integris, a Division of Coastal Community Credit Union, is investing $20,000 towards the Homework Help initiative over the next two years.

The contribution will help provide free, one-on-one homework support for 55 local children and youth until 2028.

“Homework Help is about giving children another person in their corner,” said Steve Hamilton, Manager of Communications & Engagement at the Prince George Public Library.

“When we invest in a child’s confidence, their learning and their ability to succeed, we are investing in the future of our entire community.”

The Library’s Homework Help program connects children with dedicated tutors who can provide individualized support in a welcoming, accessible environment.

“Real partnership is about more than funding,” said Dan Wingham, Senior Manager, Partnerships with Integris.

“It’s about showing up, contributing what we each do well, and co-creating something neither organization could accomplish alone. The Prince George Public Library is an outstanding community partner and by combining our strengths, we’re creating more opportunities for local students and families while helping build a stronger, more resilient, more literate community.”
