Celebration of Life for Mavrik Turnbull taking place at CN Centre tomorrow

Mavrik Turnbull’s family is hoping to fill the CN Centre during tomorrow’s (Saturday) Celebration of Life.

Three-year-old Mavrik passed away on July 6th, after a two-year battle with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma.

Father Derek Turnbull said there was so much love an support from the community during Mavrik’s battle with cancer.

“I think it helped him a lot, knowing that wherever he was at, there was always people that cared for him.”

“We couldn’t think of a better way to honour him by having this open to the community that supported him so much.”

Turnbull encourages anyone attending to wear their favourite jersey, and to bring their skates for a skate dedicated to Mavrik following the event.

For those unable to attend, the event will be livestreamed on YouTube, which can be found here.

A link will also be posted on the Mavrik Turnbull Foundation Facebook page.

The Celebration of Life will go from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the community skate from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
