Cougars ink goalie Kason Kobelka to WHL deal

The Prince George Cougars have signed 2007-born goaltender Kason Kobelka to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Kobelka, 19, started the season with the BCHL’s Vernon Vipers, posting a 3-0-0-1 record in four appearances, along with a 1.05 goals against average and a .963 save percentage.

Kobelka has WHL experience with the Calgary Hitmen, appearing in three games and posting a 2-0 record.

“We are excited to have Kason join our team,” said Lamb. “He’s an experienced goaltender who has played games in our league, and we are looking forward to having him here.”

Kobelka will wear #1, and dress for the Cougars tonight.

Additionally, 2010-born goaltender Kole Anderosov has been reassigned to the Osoyoos Coyotes of the BC Hockey Conference.
