2026 Provincial Election: Sharon Hartwell re-elected in Bulkley Valley-Stikine

Sharon Hartwell has won the Bulkley Valley-Stikine seat for the B.C. Conservatives with 51 per cent of the vote.

“I’m pretty excited and thankful,” said Hartwell.

“Calling a snap election certainly had turned up the heat a little bit with everything that was going on but I guess the public got the message that they wanted a Conservative government and a change,” she said.

As of 12 a.m. Sunday, the Conservatives were elected or leading in 64 ridings with the BC NDP in 27.

The number of seats required to form a majority government is 47.

Voter turnout across the province was over 47 per cent.
