Cougars bolster blue line in trade with the Broncos

The Prince George Cougars announced the acquisition of defenceman Jace McFaul from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft and a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2030 WHL Prospects Draft.

19-year-old McFaul has played 15 games with the Broncos this season, recording a goal and four assists, and registered 27 points (9-18-27) in 54 games the previous season with Swift Current.

“We are excited to add Jace to our team,” said General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb. “He is a puck-mover that can provide some offence.”

The team said the right shot defenceman will wear number 24.

The Cougars will be in Vancouver tomorrow afternoon (Sunday) to take on the Giants at 3:00.
