Cougars Alumni invade Prince George

The third annual Prince George Cougars Alumni Charity Golf Tournament festivities get underway tomorrow.

A public meet and greet will take place with former Cougars, which Tournament Chairman Gary Samis says runs from 4 to 5pm at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club.

“We’ve got probably about 24 alumni, and the new Cougar management will be available. General public, 4 to 5pm, come on out. We’ll have an autograph passport that you can come out and reminisce with some of the Cougars of the past, and get their signatures.”

Samis says some of the alumni include the new owners Dan Hamhuis and Eric Brewer, as well as new alumni such as Chris Petersen and Danny Baum.

All money raised in the tournament goes to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, and Samis says they hope to raise 50 thousand dollars this year.
