Smoking and RVs to be brought up at city council

Just where the city is at when it comes to tobacco enforcement will be presented to Prince George City Council tonight.

Currently the city doesn’t have an anti-tobacco bylaw, but it does have “Tobacco Free Zone” reminders set up at public places.

A delegation from the Canadian Cancer Society asked for council to consider creating a bylaw that would restrict smoking in the city.

Also Councillor Brian Skakun will be asking for a debate on reviewing a bylaw that fines RV owners who leave their motor homes on sidewalks.

The meeting gets underway at six pm in council chambers.
