More medals for PG Judo Club athletes in the East

Sydney Edgson earned a gold (Under-16, 57 kilos) and a bronze (Under-18, 57 kilos), while Tami Goto (Under-18, 48 kilos) picked up silver at the Ontario Open Judo tournament in Toronto.

Both are members of the Prince George Judo Club.

Results of the Hart Judo Academy are listed below:

Gabe Paterson = U16 (-50) one win, two losses
Maxwell Young = U18 (-60) three wins, two losses
Koen Heitman = U18 (-66) two wins, two losses
Lochlan Young = U18 (-66) one win, two losses

Team BC brought home 23 medals from the Quebec Open and 21 medals from the Ontario Open.

Brian Deevy of Hart Judo successfully evaluated for his IJF Continental Referring certification in Montreal.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

Tami Goto and Sydney Edgson of the Prince George Judo Club both captured gold in their age group weight class at the Quebec Open in Montreal.

Goto added a bronze in the senior division.

Results of the PG and Hart Judo Academy athletes, coached by Aline Strasdin and Bruce Kamstra, are as follows:

Tami Goto = GOLD, U18 (-48), BRONZE, Senior (-48)
Sydney Edgson = GOLD, U16 (-57)
Gabe Paterson = U16 (-50) two wins, two losses
Ioan Frizzell = U18 (-50) one win, two losses
Maxwell Young = U18 (-60) one win, two losses
Koen Heitman = U18 (-66) two wins, two losses
Lachlan Young = U18 (-66) two wins, two losses
Brooke Corbett = U18 (-44) one win, two losses
