PRINCE GEORGE SPRUCE KINGS:
The Prince George Spruce Kings play the Eagles tonight in Surrey in Game Six of the BCHL Mainland Division final.
The Eagles enjoy a 3-2 lead.
The Spruce Kings are 0-6 in games played in Surrey this season, including 0-2 in this series where they have been outscored 9-1 on the larger ice surface.
Should a seventh game be needed, it would be played Sunday night in Prince George.
The Mainland champion will play the Powell River Kings in the BCHL semi-finals.
Powell River won the Island Division final four games to one over the Victoria Grizzlies.

MINOR HOCKEY:
Several Prince George Minor Hockey rep teams have competed at Provincials.
- PG took silver at Midget Tier 1 in Fort. St. John, after a 4-2 loss to Vancouver in the final. PG finished first in the seven team round robin with a 4-0-2 record (3-3 tie vs. Vancouver, 5-4 win over North East, 4-3 win over East Kootenay, 4-2 win over Burnaby, 7-2 win over Kelowna, 4-4 tie against Saanich)
- PG earned silver at Midget Tier 2 in Quesnel, dropping the final to Quesnel 4-2. Both teams advanced to the championship game after finishing the seven team round robin with a record of 4-1-1. (PG round robin results: 7-4 loss to Cowichan; 6-1 win over Coquitlam, 2-2 tie vs. Quesnel, 5-3 win over Port Moody, 10-1 win over Fort St. John & 5-3 win over Kamloops).
- PG captured silver at Bantam Tier 1 in Nanaimo, falling 3-0 to Seafair in the gold medal game (PG went 2-1-1 in the round robin of the eight-team tournament: 1-1 tie vs. Victoria, 3-1 win over Yukon, 4-1 loss to Seafair and 6-0 win over Nanaimo).
- PG finished 2-4 (and sixth out of seven) at Bantam Tier 2 in West Vancouver (4-2 loss to South Zone, 3-2 loss to Port Moody, 4-2 win over Langley, 6-1 loss to Fort St. John, 6-1 loss to Campbell River, 4-2 win over Hollyburn)
- PG finished 2-3 (and fourth out of six) at Bantam Female in Vancouver (3-2 loss to Kelowna, 5-3 win over Vancouver, 4-2 loss to Langley, 15-0 win over North East and 5-4 loss to North Shore)
- PG finished 1-4 (and fifth out of six) at Peewee Tier 1 1n Prince George (6-2 loss to Kamloops, 9-2 loss to Semiahmoo, 9-1 loss to Burnaby, 2-0 loss to Victoria, 4-3 win over Kelowna). Burnaby captured gold with a 5-2 triumph over Victoria in the final.
- PG finished 0-4, without scoring a goal, at PeeWee Tier 2 in North Shore (4-0 loss to Fort St. John, 5-0 loss to Cranbrook, 10-0 loss to Vernon, 13-0 loss to North Shore)
- PG finished 0-4 at PeeWee Tier 3 in Summerland (12-0 loss to Whitehorse, 10-2 loss to Langley, 8-1 loss to Summerland, 15-1 loss to Terrace)
- PG is 0-3 at PeeWee Female in Dawson Creek (13-1 loss to Kelowna, 16-1 loss to Tri-Cities, 18-0 loss to North Shore in the six-team round robin)

BIATHLON:
Caledonia Nordic Ski Club member Sarah Beaudry of Prince George earned bronze in the women’s 12.5-kilometre pursuit and placed fourth in the 7.5-kilometre sprint at the Canadian biathlon championships in New Brunswick.
Emily Dickson of Burns Lake took bronze in the junior women’s 12.5-kilometre pursuit and silver in the 7.5-kilometre sprint.
Cole Bender of Burns Lake won gold in both the senior boys 7.5-kilometre pursuit and the six-kilometre sprint.
CURLING:
Canada finished a perfect 12-0 in the round robin at the Ford World Women’s Curling Championship in North Bay, Ontario.
The Jennifer Jones rink from Winnipeg beat Japan 8-5 and the USA 8-5 on Friday.
Canada will play in the semi-finals today with the winner to play for Gold and the loser to battle for Bronze on Sunday.
