Taylor Gauthier made 26 saves as Medicine Hat outshot Prince George 30-23.
The 2-5-0-1 Cougars, who have lost four straight, continue their three-game Central Division road trip when they visit the 3-4-0-1 Lethbridge Hurricanes tonight and the 3-3 Kootenay Ice Sunday.
Prince George is tied with the 2-5-0-1 Kamloops Blazers for third in the B.C. Division, a point ahead of the 2-8 Kelowna Rockets.
The Blazers lost 4-3 in a shootout to the Vancouver Giants in Langley, while the Rockets beat the Tri-City Americans 3-2 Friday night.
