If the road wasn’t tough enough for the Chilliwack Chiefs, it’s about to get a lot more bumpy.
Less than 24-hours after falling at home 7-0 to the Prince George Spruce Kings, the host Chiefs suffered the same fate on Saturday, losing 3-2 to the visitors and also trailing 2-0 in the best-of-seven Mainland Division final series.
For the second consecutive night, Prince George found themselves one step ahead of Chilliwack never trailing in the game, being tied 1-1 after 20 minutes then up by a pair by the end of the second period.
Ben Poisson, Max Coyle and Nick Poisson all lit the lamp for the Spruce Kings who went 1-for-4 on the power-play.
Harrison Blaisdell and Kevin Wall replied for the Chiefs in the loss.
Logan Neaton continued his hot play in the post-season collecting an 18-save victory.
The series now shifts to Prince George for games three and four Monday and Tuesday from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
Also on Saturday, the Powell River Kings stormed back to upset the Victoria Grizzlies 6-5 in overtime to even up the Island Division best-of-seven at 1-1.
The winner will play Prince George or Chilliwack in round 3.
