Northland Auto puts the pedal to the metal in support of cancer research

For the fourth year in a row, the Northland Auto Group has announced they will be supporting the Relay for life with the donation of a car.

To qualify all participants must raise a minimum of $500 to be eligible for the draw.

Aimee Cassie Prince George Relay For Life coordinator said it’s great because people can fundraise right up until midnight after the Luminary ceremony on June 8.

“I always think the relay is so much more than a fundraiser; it’s magic, there is magic in the all of the yellow t-shirts walking together, there is magic in that luminary lap, so we are encouraging everyone to register.”

The winner of the car will get a choice between a 2019 Nissan Micra and 2019 Hyundai Elantra.

Cassie said they already have teams signed up to participate this year.

The Canadian Cancer Society is hoping to raise $500,0000 from this year’s event. The money will go to support a variety of projects like the Kordyban Lodge which provides free accommodations for people coming to Prince George for treatment.

“What happens in Prince George is unreal with the community support and the way the community comes together, I am happy to be part of it,” said Jared Kubbernus Dealer, Principal at Northland Hyundai.
