B.C Premier Christy Clark says the province needs to share the wealth a bit more with it’s First Nations.
Clark attended the 2015 Western Premiers Conference in Regina on Monday and had this to say on the issue.
“We have done a fantastic job in British Columbia of getting our resources and our wealth out of the ground,” says Clark, “we have done a really rotten job of sharing that wealth with First Nations.”
Clark adds 20 out of 29 First Nations along the LNG pipeline route have benefit sharing and employment agreements in place.
