‘Pinball’ Clemons coming to Prince George

A CFL legend is coming to Prince George.

Hall of Famer and Toronto Argonauts Vice Chair Michael ‘Pinball’ Clemons will be the new keynote speaker at UNBC Timberwolves Legacy Breakfast on March 30th.

“We are very excited about having Pinball come to Prince George because if you look at his playing career and everything he’s done after, everything that you see from him is just pure excitement and engagement and that’s something that we absolutely want to bring to this event.” University sports information officer Geordie Carragher said.

Clemons replaces John Herdman, head coach of the Canadian women’s soccer team who had to cancel due to unforeseen commitments with the Canadian Soccer Association.

This is the second year for the Legacy Breakfast, which has become the year’s major fundraiser for UNBC athletics.

“It’s just an opportunity for our student athletes to meet some of the leaders in the community while getting to experience something like we will have on March 30th with Pinball talking to them and hopefully they’ll be able to draw some inspiration.” Carragher added

Last years inaugural event with Hayley Wickenheiser raised over $40,000.

Tickets for the breakfast cost $75 for a seat, or $600 for a table of eight.
