Spruce Kings silence the Chiefs

The Prince George Spruce Kings continued their strong play on Thursday defeating the Chilliwack Chiefs 4-1.

Chilliwack got on the board first courtesy of Tommy Lee’s 7th of the season from Colin Bernard and Austin Chorney.

The Spruce Kings evened the score before the end of the frame when Liam Watson-Brawn teed off on a Brett Mennear feed.

In the second, Parker Colley potted his 1st of the season tapping home a Cavin Tilsley pass for a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes.

Prince George continued to swarm the Chiefs in the third scoring twice more from the sticks of Tanner Campbell and Mennear.

Chilliwack outshot the Spruce Kings 29-28 with Stefan Wornig picking up the win in net.74

Prince George went 2 for 6 on the power-play and improve to 5-8-0-1 on the season.

Surrey Eagles roll into town on Saturday and Sunday playing at 7PM and 3PM from the RMCA.
