Ray to enjoy last ride as PG Chamber CEO

Christie Ray’s tenure as CEO of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce is coming to a close.

Her last day on the job is Friday.

Ray says it’s been a wonderful ride .

“The chamber of commerce is an amazing organization, one, which I certainly intend to join again as a member as I move into my next step. Some of the pieces I’ve enjoyed the most over the past four years is the branding aspect.”

She was able to improve one thing while with the chamber. “Branding was top of my mind when I came into the role and I very confident that I’ve been able to help shift the brand a little bit,” says Ray.

Even though membership numbers didn’t increase during her tenure, the level of engagement certainly did, says Ray. “They are willing and able to take advantage of the majority of aspects that we offer as a chamber of commerce and really benefit their businesses.”

Ray gave her three-month notice during the group’s annual general meeting in April.

Ray’s departure isn’t the only major change at the local chamber.

Corey Naphtali replaced Cindy Poll as president.
