Moderate snowfall in store for Prince George: Environment Canada

Keep the shovels out, because more snow is expected this week for PG according to Environment Canada.

Light snowfall is expected to start today (Sunday) and continue throughout the afternoon then temperatures will drop to -11 degrees later this evening.

Temperatures will rise up to -4 tomorrow (Monday).

Environment Canada Meteorologist Greg Walters explained they are not expecting much snow accumulation.

“Monday night into Tuesday you’re going to be seeing a transition into snow,” he said.

“On Tuesday you might be seeing anywhere from 5 to 8 centimeters. That looks to be the day where PG will get the most snowfall.”

There are no weather warnings in effect for Prince George currently.
