Spruce Kings acquire grit and skill from Saskatchewan

Quentin Loon-Stewardson became a fan favourite during his two seasons with the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and he hopes to replicate that success in Prince George.

On Thursday, the 20-year-old forward was dealt to the Spruce Kings for future considerations.

The Sioux Lookout, Ontario product recorded 30 goals and 25 assists last season with the Stars.

During his two seasons in the Battlefords, he played 104 regular season games accumulating 83 career points and 285 penalty minutes.

His best stretch of junior hockey came during the 2019 SJHL Playoffs when notched 10 goals and 9 assists in 16 games, en route to the Stars clinching the Canalta Cup Championship over the Melfort Mustangs.
