The Superior Fencing Giants of Prince George won a 12-team men’s fastball tournament in Burns Lake. Superior Fencing beat the Vanderhoof Rippers 6-1 in the final to finish with a 5-0 record.

–Wayne French drove to victory in the Street Stocks Main event on the opening night of racing at PGARA. Nathan Linfitt captured the Minis Main while Derek Bussey took top honors in the Hornets Main.

–The WHL champion Kelowna Rockets play the QMJHL champion Rimouski Oceanic tonight at the Memorial Cup. Both teams are 0-1 in the round robin. The Oshawa Generals are 2-0 and have clinched one of three playoff spot. The host Quebec Remparts are 1-1.

–The Prince George Spruce Kings have hired Ryan Lepper as Broadcaster/Communications Director. Lepper spent last season as Broadcaster for the Port Moody Panthers of the Pacific Junior Hockey League. He will oversee all social media accounts and all media related issues with the Spruce Kings.

–PG Senior Lacrosse resumes this evening at 8 at Kin 1 when the 1-5 Northland/Nissan Assault battle the 0-6 Cowboy Ranch Security Stylers.
