Cariboo Cougars edge Giants

The Cariboo Cougars took three of a possible four points against the Vancouver North West Giants this weekend thanks to a 4-3 win today (Sun).

The game got off to a flying start with the score deadlocked at 2-2 after 20 minutes.

Tyler Ho and Josh Maser lit the lamp for the Cougars while Mackenzie Gray and Carter Stephenson replied for the Giants.

VNW would take the 3-2 lead in the second courtesy of a Josh Latta slap-shot that blew past Cougar goalie Dorrin Luding.

Before the end of the middle frame Chase Dubois would even the score at 3-3 beating Giants goalie David Tendeck.

Smithers product Riley Coish netted the game-winner in the third thanks to a beautiful stretch pass from inside the Cariboo blue-line.

The Giants outshot Cariboo 30-23.

VNW made a surprising move electing to start back-up David Tendeck over Beck Warm who stood on his head on Saturday in a 2-2 tie.

Cariboo will enjoy a bye-week before hosting the Okanagan Rockets on November 28th and 29th from Kin 1.
