2026 NHL Draft:
Prince George Cougar defenceman Carson Carels will be joining the Calgary Flames, after being selected 6th overall in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Last season, Carels played 58 games, tallying 20 goals and 53 assists, leading the team’s defencemen in points.
Carels also collected a bronze medal in the 2026 World Junior Championship, and committed to the University of North Dakota for next season.

The 30-year-old Young went 1-4 at bat with 1 RBI.

He’s batting .242 this season with four homers and 11 RBI’s while going 24-for-99 in 37 games.
